Soft caps are stat thresholds where the benefit per point starts to decrease. For example, Vigor has soft caps at 40 and 60 - investing beyond 60 Vigor gives very little extra HP per level. Each stat has its own soft cap values.

The most popular PvP meta levels are 125 and 150. Level 125 forces tighter build choices, while 150 allows more flexibility. Most active PvP matchmaking happens at these levels.
